The Minamata Diseas

The ocean is an excellent food source. Affected by the human-generated chemical factories however the sea is heavily intoxicated. This in turn has an effect on our health when consuming a large amount of those contaminated fishes and shellfish one of which is the Minamata disease. Minamata disease is a methylmercury poisoning with neurological symptoms such as general muscle weakness as presented in the artwork. This disease is one of the most significant negative consequences of environmental pollution that is caused by this industrial activity taking away thousands of lives while also sparking social and political tensions to wake.
