Bangladesh
The theme instantly reminded of a recent study done in my country which showed lead poisoning affects 35.5 million children in Bangladesh. According to experts recycling of used lead-acid battery adulteration of turmeric and industrial paints is among the major sources of lead exposure. The carelessness of some manufacturing and industrial processes are harming children and innocent people directly or indirectly by deteriorating the environment. Different things like oil spills deforestation and overuse of plastic products are doing irreversible damage to nature and many populations. Large corporations continue being apathetic of their actions while lower income families suffer the consequences.
