Giulia is a health policy and systems researcher at the Institute for Global Health and Development, Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh (UK). Her research focuses on health system strengthening, governance, community health systems, and ways to foster climate-resilient health systems. She is a member of the Rebuild for Resilience project, an international consortium funded by the UK government that aims to build health system resilience in the face of shocks. She studied Pharmacy at the University of Bologna, Italy, and completed a research master's in public health from the Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She is currently conducting her PhD on the political economy of noncommunicable disease policies using complexity theory and science. Giulia is also an active member of the People's Health Movement (PHM) in Scotland, UK, the country circle of PHM Global.
