Angèle Flora Mendy holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Her research focuses on the internal and international Mobility and Migration of health professionals and its impact on the provision of health care to populations. She is a former Takemi Fellow in International Health (2020-2022) at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health where she currently supports Dr. Jesse Bump's research on the historical roots of health inequalities, the logic of domination of resources, and the control of medical knowledge in global health in Africa. Originally from Senegal, Dr. Mendy is also an elected municipal councilor in the city of Lausanne, Switzerland.
