Ali Raza Rizvi is the Head of Climate Change at IUCN. He has over 25 years of leadership experience in the conservation and development sectors focused on the intersection of nature, climate and people, with work spanning over 50 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. In his current role, he leads IUCN’s Climate team and sets the global vision and strategy of IUCN’s work on nature and climate. He currently co-chairs the WHO-IUCN Expert Working Group on Nature-based Solutions, Biodiversity and One Health and serves on the steering committee of the Nature for Health initiative.
