Neurodegenerative diseases contribute to healthcare burden worldwide. As age remains the biggest risk factor for developing degenerative brain, There is a huge increase in numbers of neurodegenerative disease, including dementia, which is driven by growing global population. These diseases negatively affect human in every scales from patient and family to the economical burden of healthcare system and country. Despite many diseases remain incurable. Scientists and physicians all around the globe have been investing efforts, time and resources to make a progress toward a better understanding of the disease and development of a novel therapy.

 


With experts from neuroscience and clinical neurology, this session covers an update in the progress of neurodegenerative disease research in both basic science and clinical field. The session aims to serve as a space for scientist and clinician to exchange knowledge in their expertise, which will lead toward a better understanding of neurodegenerative diseases and the development of clinical practice for these diseases.
