Acute ischemic stroke is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Since 2015 when endovascular thrombectomy was proven to be a very effective treatment for patients with large-vessel ischemic stroke, countries have been implementing endovascular thrombectomy as a part of their stroke care. The evidence-based stroke management has progressively improved and will continue to change toward better care for stroke patients.
This session aims to provide information about endovascular thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke: history, current management, and future direction. We invited prestigious local and international speakers to talk about their experiences and perspectives on endovascular thrombectomy for patients with stroke. It would be a great opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences in stroke care with the speakers.
